Promoting women’s economic, political and socio-cultural rights has been at the heart of TWN Africa’s work on gender and development. Over the years we have undertaken research and advocacy and continue to undertake research on issues impacting women’s effective participation in the economy. We have built networks and advocated at the national, regional and global levels for policy and practices aimed at removing the barriers that inhibit African women’s total participation in the economy.
